I have looked everywhere and couldn’t find many options for custom slates. I made these Denecke slate covers for a TV show I was shooting with multiple directors. After wrap I was able to give each slate as a gift so they’d be able to have a souvenir from our shoot!

How long does it take?
Your design proof is usually ready in 24–48 hours. Once you approve it, the slate ships the following day from Los Angeles. Choose expedited shipping at checkout if you're on a deadline.
Where do I send logos and names?
Email everything to Orders@scorchedlaserworks.com after you order. Highest resolution you have; vector (AI, SVG, EPS, PDF) is best. Use Dropbox, Drive or WeTransfer so your mail client doesn't compress it.
What artwork engraves best?
High-contrast, monochrome vector art. But send what you have. We can vectorize logos and translate photos and posters into engraving-friendly art.
My logo is full color. Which finish?
UV Printed. It reproduces color photos, posters and gradients vibrantly and durably. Multi-color engraving exists but is limited, so UV is the safe call.
Does it include the slate?
No. This is the engraved acrylic faceplate only — no timecode slate and no clapper sticks. It fits over the slate you already own.
Can I buy this as a gift?
Yes. Most of our slates are gifts. Tell us who it's for and what they shoot, and we'll help with names, titles and layout discreetly — the proof comes to you, not to them.

Custom pieces can't be returned, but we stand behind every slate. If something's off, we keep working until you're happy.
